JUICE is a musical pipe bomb: an explosion of energy and invention. We make music the hard way, whether climbing xylophones, inventing and reinventing instruments, impersonating percussion, or battling with poles, electronics, or cellos. Fusing all these elements together, we build music to be seen as well as heard in one electrifying show.

Our nine members hail from a variety of backgrounds as classical and electronic musicians, drummers, dancers, composers, DJs, and even a clown. The group formed in 2008 at the University of Michigan and has since performed in 7 states at colleges, festivals, theaters, and other events. Musically, Juice combines driving percussion and tasty beats with catchy melodies, harmonics, and uncommon sounds both acoustic and electronic—all along with a spark of humor. Our show continues to grow as we break out new ideas and instruments, fine-tune our inventions, and expand our set of over 40 drums and as many other items.

Also featuring the music of the Pan-Jumbies, Oakland University’s Steel Band, directed by Mark Stone. The Pan-Jumbies is a twenty-piece steel drum group performing music from the Caribbean and South America. Their high-energy performances are always a popular campus event. Come out to hear them make their club debut at the Crofoot.

A portion of the proceeds will go toward OU's student percussion organization!!
