DOSH: Martin Dosh has involved himself profoundly at perfecting a sound that is untried yet polished, with deep instrumentation and rich variation. DOSH's virtuostic drumming and Rhodes mastery bolstered by turntables whirrs, saxophone gushes, guitar picking, and sampled family vocals is as organic and exact as primordial soup. He is jazz, hip-hop, rock, and electronica on an axis of experimentalism. An unabashed sentimentalist, DOSH is not afraid to make his music personal, and wearing his heart on his beats, he wants his music to be taken that way as well.

With WHITE HINTERLAND: This experimental pop music is filled with dreams, memories, warnings, and reminders. Casey Dienel's voice is more hidden; crouching amid swish, drone, and the wildflower jazz of her friends. There are echoes of Laura Nyro, Joni Mitchell, John Cage, Alice Coltrane, and M. Ward. There are songs from private and uncertain places, vulnerable places. Her album "Phylactery Factory" falls between freeze and frozen, between green and grey, just as the hinterland becomes white and we feel our first, happy shivers.
