We’ve all fallen victim to it before: a haphazardly named band, with predictable riffs, breakdowns, and foundationless lyrics. Tired of the same monotony?

Then take in the breath of fresh air that is WILSON. Stemming from the heart of Michigan’s capital, this band provides that fix your edgy side has so longed for. Formed just recently in 2009, guitarists Jason Spencer (ex For The Fallen Dreams) and Joel Matthews, drummer Mike McGowan, bassist Drew Rambo, and vocalist Chad Nicefield (ex Heirs) have created an adrenaline-invoking sound that distinguishes itself from all other bands reeking of tedium. Wilson's debut Extended Play "Standing on the Reel" tells the story of the enigmatic Ranger Mudd; a fictional character created by the band in an effort to tell a zombified tale of a man with vengeance drenching over his fists. With captivating lyrics spread all over a perfect balance of melody and aggression, this album creates a backwoods environment for the listener to indulge their wildest fantasies.

Wilson has shared the stage with the likes of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Escape The Fate, Horse The Band, Oceana, Misery Signals, Steel Panther and many others. Thus proving their sound to be easily consumed by a wide array of genres. Now with that being said, allow the Wilson boys the chance to boom inside your preferred listening device and create a jungle of Michigan "Twang-Rock" for your mind to entangle itself in.

So convinced the metal culture is one dragged down by conformity? Listen to Wilson, and considered yourself corrected.

Co Headlining with the Post-Punk road kings TROPHY SCARS.
