The explosion of the Transocean Deepwater Horizon rig on April 20 killed 11 people and led to the BP oil spill – the largest in U.S. history and second-largest in world history – that threatens coastal Louisiana, Gulf Coast fisheries and Gulf of Mexico ecosystems.

Rock to Save the Gulf is benefit concert being hosted in order to raise donations to help support the oil spill clean-up efforts. Ticket sales, T-shirt sales, and other donations will be collected and split evenly between two charitable organizations which aim to restore the Gulf: the NATIONAL WILDLIFE FEDERATION and the ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE FUND.

Your attendance and support is one small way in which you can help provide relief to the people and wildlife which suffer from this disaster. We have seven GREAT local bands supporting the cause, so come rock out with us to save the Gulf and witness the people of Michigan coming together to make a difference.

With music from WILSON, ATAVAN, BAT ON FIRE, BRENA, ROCKY LOVES EMILY, THE BOYS OF SUMMER and SQUID THE WHALE
