THE BLAKES recall the stinging catchiness of early Who, Kinks, and other spitfire rock bands. The early influences of Garnet Keim (guitar, vocals) and Snow Keim (bass, vocals) were Hank Williams and Brian Wilson. The brothers busked all around North America, writing songs in hostels and motel bathrooms, finally ending up in Seattle. There they met animalistic, mesmerizing drummer Bob Husak and asked him to join the band. The trio hit the road and have been touring ever since. Check out these raves: 'Soak the Kinks in cheap booze, reignite the Stooges' strut...gritty-yet-hazy rock music' - SPIN 'Who's this? This shit is good!' - IGGY POP 'Swampy guitars, twitchy rhythms, and power-pop vocal harmonies!' - PITCHFORK '...If you can't relate to the roller coaster ride between heatseeking horniness and love-crushed desperation...put this magazine down and head to your local bar, posthaste.' - HARP
