BLUE MOUNTAIN BELLE

Blue Mountain Belle is an indie folk band from Detroit, Michigan produced by John Katona of Dog & Panther. The band was formed by guitarist Nick Bourgeau and singer/songwriter Stephanie Hamood upon meeting during their coincidental return to Michigan - on boxcars, naturally - after pursuing separate projects in other states. With an affinity for traditional honky tonk music and Bourgeau's extensive background in jazz and experimental noise music, the band boasts an eccentric approach to Americana. The band began playing all over the metro Detroit area after Hamood finished touring with the legendary Anita Baker, playing dates as Baker's opening act. When they aren't trying to outdraw Clint Eastwood in front of the TV, and with their days of barroom brawls and Boston subway busking behind them, they're preparing to kick off their EP release on March 29th at The Crofoot in Pontiac, MI.
