The Social Bandits are a rock band from Detroit, Michigan. With influences spanning through the greatest decades of music, the band has their own unique take on rock, reggae, jazz, blues, and funk. With hundreds of shows under their belt stretching from Detroit’s famed dive bars to some of the biggest stages in Michigan festivals, Jesse (vocals/guitar), Brad (vocals/bass), Jared (guitar), Evan (keys), and Dylan (drums) know what it takes to engage an audience and connect in ways only achieved through rock and roll. The Social Bandits have been gaining momentum through the college party circuit on and off campuses of U of M in Ann Arbor, CMU in Mt. Pleasant, WMU in Kalamazoo, GVSU in Grand Rapids, and MSU in East Lansing.
The band has just released their debut full length record entitled “In Retrospect.” With Co-vocalists in Jesse and Brad, the record draws influences from the likes of The Beatles, Bob Marley, James Brown, Gary Clark Jr, and Lake Street Dive. The album was recorded at the esteemed Rustbelt Studios in Royal Oak, MI and produced by Steve Lehane. While spending most of the year completing the record, The Social Bandits aim to use this release to fuel their upcoming regional tours.
