The TED LEO we know and love today began to find his voice in the East Coast post-hardcore scene of the late-80’s. As a member of Citizen’s Arrest and Animal Crackers (and later as the main song writer in Chisel) Ted developed his ear for melody, a sharpened political prowess, and an undeniable charisma. Eventually embarking on a musical journey under the Ted Leo/Pharmacists moniker that saw early releases on Gern Blandsten and Ace Fu, Ted found a home on Lookout! Records and released record after record of melodic, emotionally-charged and politically-aware anthems. In 2006, Ted and his crew released their first album for Touch and Go Records, Living With The Living. With a work ethic and a commitment to touring bordering on maniacal, Ted can frequently be found pouring his heart and soul into his now-legendary live performances all over the land. Ted recently did a round with rock giants Pearl Jam. And no he visits the intimate Pike Room for a solo show. Kevin Boyer (of TVK) opens.
