The Crofoot is pleased to present this amazing night of garage punk with PJ's LAGER HOUSE in Detroit.

TY SEGALL: Burying 60s sing-alongs and dance crazes with waves of reverb and thud, Ty Segall is carving out his own brand of neo-psych garage alongside SF compatriots and collaborators Sic Alps and Thee Oh Sees. After clawing his way out of the Bay Area garage scene with a frantic one-man-band act that the local crowd and press couldn't get enough of, Segall has now given up the solo act for a three piece that destroys sonic and melodic boundaries with manic glee. Ty Segall's second album, "Lemons", will be released by Goner Records on July 14.

THE FRUSTRATIONS: sez RAZORCAKE: "A nice mixture of punk, its artier strains (every now and then I hear a little bit of early Sonic Youth bubbling up along the edges), and skronk here. They aren't afraid of being noisy as hell, but they're sure to temper it with more traditional song structure and some much-needed drive."

THE JOHNNY ILL BAND: "FORMED IN 2007 [BY JOHNNY ILL] WITH CRAIG, BING AND MAMA CREE [TERRIBLE TWOS, ETC]. CRAIG WAS KICKED OUT FOR HIS EXCESSIVE [BAND MEMBERSHIPS] BUT CONTINUES TO COME TO EVERY SHOW AND SING ALL OF THE WORDS. WE WILL FOREVER BE IN DEBT TO MR. BROWN BECAUSE HIS BEAUTIFUL GUITAR MELODIES GRACE OUR SEVEN INCH RECORD THAT IS DUE TO BE RELEASED SHORTLY ON KABOODLE RECORDS. WE SUBSEQUENTLY ASKED OUR GOOD FRIEND AND GUITAR PLAYER EXTRAORDINAIRE NAI SNOMMA [THE PIRANHAS, MAGICK BROTHER] TO PLAY WITH US AND HE DID FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. AFTER NAI'S DEPARTURE WE CONITNUED AS A THREE PIECE UNTIL VERY RECENTLY BING DECIDED THAT HE COULD NOT DEVOTE ENOUGH TIME TO THE BAND. SO, WE NOW HAVE A MR. MATT LARSON PLAYING THE BASS GUITAR."

CHARLIE AND THE MOONHEARTS: raw basement surf energy from this Orange County combo.

This show is at PJ's LAGER HOUSE, 1254 Michigan Avenue, Detroit. Three blocks East of old Tiger Stadium and two blocks West of MGM Grand.
