HEADLIGHTS' third full-length, Wildlife, is a poignant piece haunted by the notions of loss and leaving, yet fueled by the power of survival. Following a tumultuous recording that saw the amicable departure of guitarist John Owen, the band turned the scrapped session into a confident, significantly personal work. Recorded at home and mixed by drummer Brett Sanderson, Wildlife, is a collection of complex tracks filled with youthful laments and songs of friendship and aspiration.

With THE SHAKY HANDS: Hailing from Portland, Oregon, The Shaky Hands tread a path all their own, while retaining the emotional intelligence and unique aural explorations that have come to define PDX music. Their full-length, self-titled debut is a great first impression for the band, and very well might give their modest label something to keep them busy for a while.

And POMEGRANATES: 'Everybody, Come Outside!' is the shimmering and dreamy new album from Cincinnati art-pop denizens, Pomegranates. This Cincinnati quartet broke on the scene last year with their quirky and charming blend of pop rock. The band also caught the attention of their peers. Artists such as French Kicks and Islands responded to Pomegranates' dynamic live set by inviting them out on the road. Everybody, Come Outside! shows a marked improvement both creatively and sonically from the band's previous record, channeling influences that range from Talking Heads and Brian Eno, to French Kicks and Fela Kuti.
