The Music of Neil Young- No one encapsulates the essence of School of Rock quite like Neil Young. Blazing guitar riffs, hooky choruses, and pure-raw energy! Do not be deceived, however, by it’s simple appearance. This music is coated by a subtle complexity. From his lengthy slow-funk grooves like “Down by the River” to his blazing 2 minute masterpieces like “Cinnamon Girl”, Neil Young covers a wide array of techniques necessary to any musicians arsenal.

About Paul Green School of Rock Music The Paul Green School of Rock Music is the original performance-based rock music school in the country for students ages 7 to 18. Founded by Philadelphia guitarist Paul Green in 1998, the Paul Green School of Rock Music is the subject of the documentary Rock School, which debuted at Sundance in 2005, went to national release, and regularly airs on A&E. It also served as the apparent inspiration for the Jack Black hit comedy, School of Rock. Built on Green’s philosophy that the best way to learn to play music is by actually doing it, the School of Rock program supplements weekly private lessons with group band practice in a highly challenging yet supportive environment, with frequent live rock concerts. Dedicated to connecting the musicians of tomorrow to the classics of yesterday (students learn by playing classic rock ranging from the Beatles and Cream to Zappa and Zeppelin).
